Key Taxidermy is a UK specialist in the field of creating life-like, museum-quality mounts of mammals, birds,
fish, game heads and pets.
The business is owned and operated by James Jackson, who has more than 30 years experience
as a qualified taxidermist. His work can be seen in museums around the UK, chiefly at the National Museum in Liverpool and
his pieces are also displayed around the world.
James is a keen angler and has a passion for preserving specimens
in their natural setting. He is also well versed in techniques used overseas and has had training in the US in the art of
forming various materials such as fibreglass and polyeurophane. This enables a greater variety when using action poses.
Key Taxidermy also undertakes tanning and cleaning of skins, conservation and restoration of existing mounts, seminars
and consultations and tuition covering a range of topics.
